The Pug-Dog - Its History and Origin - Hardcover

by Wilhelmina Swainston-Goodger (Author)

The Pug is an ancient toy breed of Chinese origin, a compact and comical companion that charmed the courts of Europe. In The Pug-Dog, Wilhelmina Swainston-Goodger traces the breed from its earliest origins to the modern day.

First published in 1930, it draws on early sources to follow the breed's development, its type and character, and the people who shaped it.
