The Eve a Saint First Raced - Paperback

by Angola Hone (Author)

"Christmas! Christmas! For the Lord's birth run!"

The north is dark. The sun cannot rise. Holidays never come. Not while tyrant Queen Brumal keeps it so, hoarding power over the winds. Air currents answer to those who can ride them fastest. And the speed of the witch's flying sleigh has never been challenged.

Until now.

One fateful December night, Kristopher Clark tumbles into the wintry realm where tundra beasts prance, a burning Star roves unchecked, and the cheery smallfolk people face extinction under Brumal's eternal eve. The icy witch has stolen his dear daughter, Lilianne, and whisked her far from their London home.

To both rescue Lilianne and free his new friends, Clark must best Brumal in a perilous race. But a racer needs a sleigh, valiant beasts to pull it, and a strong will to tame them. Clark, a browbeaten coach driver, lost his own inner faith long ago. To outmatch Brumal, he must find it again.

This is the most important race of Clark's life. And it might just transform him into a saintly Christmas legend!
